Requirements due to COVID

  • MUST wear a mask during the entire duration of their program.
  • MUST NOT present significant behaviors that may become a health and/or safety issue, such as grabbing masks or faces, spitting/drooling, excessive touching of things, elopement, etc.
  • For participants that require 2 sidewalkers/supporters, a parent/guardian MUST go through Volunteer Training to be one of the support volunteers for their child. (This includes all Therapy clients)
  • The lobby will be closed for the spring session and we are asking parents and caregivers not volunteering in their child's lesson to stay in their cars.

Adaptive Riding

Adaptive Riding, offers riding lessons to participants already enrolled in the regular program as well as those on our waiting list. Lessons provide benefits in core strength, communication, and social skills.

You will receive a link with lesson times for you to indicate your availability. You MUST complete and return this form for your registration to be final.

Provisional Riders

If your child is still on the waitlist and you would like to register for the upcoming schedule, the available ride times are between 9:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Please choose Provisional Adaptive Riding Lessons at check out. This information should have been listed in the registration email title. More availability will mean a greater chance of finding an appropriate ride time for your child.

$35 per scheduled lesson. $235 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee. (For a max total of $655)

Alumni Transitions

Thursdays at 10:00 or 12:00

Saddle Up!’s Alumni Transitions (AT) program for Saddle Up! Graduates continues their Adaptive Riding education and combines it with vocational and job skills tht enhance their quality of life and contribution to the community . Our PATH International Certified Instructors lead graduates in lessons that include grooming, tacking, riding, and vocational skills. Our Alumni Transitions program serves youth with disabilities from the age of 19 through their 24th birthday.

(Times available are dependent on the number of participants.)

$50 per scheduled lesson. $325 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee. (For a max total of $925)

Interactive Vaulting

Fridays at 5:00 pm

(Another time TBD if first lesson fills.)

Saddle Up!’s Interactive Vaulting program is an equine-assisted activity where participants perform movements on and around the horse while the horse is being lunged on a circle. During a lesson, PATH International Certified Vaulting Instructors direct vaulters to interact with each other and their horse in order to foster teamwork, teach respect for the horse, foster independence, build confidence, and encourage social interaction.

$40 per scheduled lesson. $225 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee. (For a max total of $665)

Therapy Services

Saddle Up!’s Therapy Services (TS) offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy that incorporates equine movement as a treatment strategy. Therapy Services treats clients with disabilities as young as 2 years old. No evening or Saturday therapy appointments available.

No deposit necessary. Appoinments are paid for at the time of service.

Payment Information

Deposit - There is a deposit required for each program registration. The cost varies depending on the total cost of the program. The cost includes a $25 registration fee which is NON-refundable. If you withdraw from the spring program we will NOT refund the $25 registration fee.

Financial Responsibility - We cannot register a participant for an upcoming session if they have an outstanding balance. If you do register, then the fees paid will be applied to the balance due and your child will NOT be registered for the upcoming session.

Financial Aid Information - If your family total gross household income is $100,000 or below as documented by current IRS tax returns, your family may be eligible for financial aid for adaptive riding lessons.

How You Can Help - Lesson fees only cover a small fraction of the cost of what it costs for us to offer these programs. Every child at saddle Up receives a 75% subsidy that helps keep our costs low. If you would like to help support our program, you can make a tax deductible donation to Saddle Up!.

Late Fee - A $25 late fee with be assessed for registering after Saturday, November 14, 2020. Late registration may prevent your child from participating.
