SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION ~ 2021

Adaptive Riding

Saddle Up!’s longest running program, Adaptive Riding, offers summer riding lessons to participants already enrolled in the regular program, as well as those on our waiting list. Summer lessons provide your child with a fun sport that includes benefits in core strength, communication, and social skills.

You can choose to have your child ride for June or July, or both. You may also request for your child to ride up to 2 times per week if space is available. You will receive a link to an online form with lesson times for you to indicate your availability. You MUST complete this form for your summer registration to be final.

If you would like your child to ride twice a week, please register for one adaptive riding lesson and indicate 2x weekly on the availability form.

$35 per scheduled lesson. $165 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee.


Alumni Transitions

Thursdays at 9:00am or 11:00am

Saddle Up!’s Alumni Transitions Program is for Saddle Up! Graduates in which they continue their Adaptive Riding education combined with unmounted horsemanship and life skills to enhance their quality of life and community impact. During a lesson, our PATH International Certified Instructor will lead graduates in a 1.5 hour lesson that includes grooming, tacking, riding, and life skills activities. Our Alumni Transitions program serves youth with disabilities from the age of 19 through their 26th birthday.

$50 per scheduled lesson. $225 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee.


Fun on the Farm

Monday-Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm

Let our horses lend you a helping hoof with your child’s summer activities. Through a variety of interactions, we’ll discover the farm from our herd’s point of view. Activities such as nature hikes, horse handling, crafts, and riding lessons will teach students leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills… and they’ll have so much fun, they won’t even know they are learning!

Participants will receive 2 riding lessons during their skill week. At Fun on the Farm with a Sibling, your child will participate with one of their siblings between the age of 6 and 18 years-old.

$375 per week. $200 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee.

$575 for Fun on the Farm with Siblings. $300 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee and registration for 2 participants.


Interactive Vaulting Skill Week

Monday-Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm June 14-18th

Saddle Up!’s Interactive Vaulting program is an equine-assisted activity in which participants perform movements on and around the horse while the horse is being lunged in a circle. During a lesson, our PATH International Certified Vaulting Instructor directs vaulters to interact with each other and their horse in many different ways in order to foster teamwork and independence, teach respect for the horse, build confidence, and encourage social interaction. Participants must be between the age of 6 and 18 years-old. The program week will include an Interactive Vaulting lesson each day.

$425 per week. $225 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee.


Weekly Interactive Vaulting

Tuesdays at 6:00pm or

Fridays at 4:00pm

(Lessons will be grouped by skill)

$40 per scheduled lesson. $185 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee.


Therapy Services

Saddle Up!’s Therapy Services offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy that incorporates equine movement as a treatment strategy. Therapy Services treats client’s with disabilities as young as 2 years-old. No evening or Saturday therapy appointments are available. There is no deposit required for therapy services since payment is due at each appointment.

Payment Information

Deposit - There is a deposit required for each program registration. The cost varies depending on the total cost of the program. The cost includes a $25 registration fee which is NON-refundable. If you withdraw from the summer program we will NOT refund the $25 registration fee. The balance of the program fees is due the FIRST day your child attends the summer program.

Financial Responsibility - We cannot register a participant for an upcoming session if they have an outstanding balance. If you do register, then the fees paid will be applied to the balance due and your child will NOT be registered for the upcoming session.

Financial Aid Information - Financial Aid is available for all programs, except Therapy Services, as funds are available, If you need assistance please contact Thom Bosse at (615) 794-1150 x340 or tbosse@saddleupnashville.org about our Financial Aid program. If you are currently receiving Financial Aid you will receive more information on how to register. Financial Aid is only available for one program per participant.

How You Can Help - Lesson fees only cover a small fraction of the cost of what it takes for us to offer these programs. If you would like to help support our program, you can make a tax deductible donation to Saddle Up!.

Late Fee - A $25 late fee will be assessed for registering after Saturday, April 17, 2021. Late registration may prevent your child from participating.
