Adaptive Riding

Saddle Up!’s longest running program, Adaptive Riding, offers summer riding lessons to participants already enrolled in the regular program as well as those on our waiting list. Summer lessons provide your child with a fun sport that includes benefits in core strength, communication, and social skills.

You can choose to have your child ride for June or July or both. You can also request for your child to ride up to 2 times per week if space is available. You will receive a form with lesson times for you to indicate your availability. You MUST complete and return this form for your summer registration to be final.

If you would like your child to ride twice a week, please register for one adaptive riding lesson and indicate 2x weekly on the availabilty form.

$30 per scheduled lesson. $115 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee and the first three weeks of riding.

Alumni Transitions

Thursdays at 10:30 am or 12:30 pm

Saddle Up!’s Alumni Transitions (AT) program is for Saddle Up! Graduates where they continue their Adaptive Riding education and combine it with vocational and job skills to enhance their quality of life and community impact. During a lesson, our PATH International Certified Instructor will lead graduates in a 1.5 hour lesson that includes grooming, tacking, riding, and vocational skills. Our Alumni Transitions program serves youth with disabilities from the age of 19 through their 24th birthday.

$50 per scheduled lesson. $175 deposit includes a $25 non-refundable, registration fee and the first three weeks of riding.

Fun on the Farm

Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Let our horses lend you a helping hoof with your child’s summer activities. Through a variety of interactions, we’ll discover the farm from our herd’s point of view. Activities such as nature hikes, horse handling, crafts, and riding lessons will teach students leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills… and they’ll have so much fun they won’t even know they are learning!

Participants will receive 2 riding lessons during their skill week. At Fun on the Farm with a Sibling, your child can participate with one of their sibling(s) between the age of 6 and 18 years old.

$375 Per Week. Includes $25 non-refundable, registration fee.

$575 for Fun on the Farm with Siblings. Includes $25 non-refundable, registration fee.

Interactive Vaulting

Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Saddle Up!’s Interactive Vaulting program is an equine-assisted activity where participants perform movements on and around the horse while the horse is being lunged on a circle. During a lesson, our PATH International Certified Vaulting Instructor directs vaulters to interact with each other and their horse in many different ways in order to foster teamwork, teach respect for the horse, foster independence, build confidence, and encourage social interaction. Participants must be between the age of 6 and 18 years old. The program week will include an Interactive Vaulting lesson each day.

The program will run as a one week activity this summer from June 15 through 19th from 9am-12pm each day.

$425 per Week. Includes $25 non-refundable, registration fee.

Therapy Services

Saddle Up!’s Therapy Services (TS) offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy that incorporates equine movement as a treatment strategy. Therapy Services treats client’s with disabilities as young as 2 years old. No evening or Saturday therapy appointments available.

Payment Information

Deposit - There is a deposit required for each program registration. The cost varies depending on the total cost of the program. The cost includes a $25 registration fee which is NON-refundable. If you withdraw from the summer program we will NOT refund the $25 registration fee. The balance of the program fees are due the FIRST day your child attends the summer program.

Financial Responsibility - We cannot register a participant for an upcoming session if they have an outstanding balance. If you do register, then the fees paid will be applied to the balance due and your child will NOT be registered for the upcoming session.

Financial Aid Information - Financial aid is available for all programs, except Therapy Services, as funds are available, If you need assistance please contact Stephanie Louder at (615) 794-1150 x220 or about our financial aid program. If you are currently receiving Financial Aid you will receive more information on how to register. Financial Aid can only be available for one program per participant.

How You Can Help - Lesson fees only cover a small fraction of the cost of what it takes for us to offer these programs. If you would like to help support our program, you can make a tax deductible donation to Saddle Up!.

Late Fee - A $25 late fee with be assessed for registering after Saturday, April 18, 2020. Late registration may prevent your child from participating.
